The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has been authorized for use in individuals 5 years of age and older, and the Pfizer Booster Shot has been authorized for use in individuals 12 years of age and older.
No student in the Ogdensburg City School District is required to receive a COVID-19 Vaccine, however, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the recommended quarantine and isolation periods for any given situation are determined by a variety of factors, including vaccination status. Per updated CDC and NYSDOH guidelines, if your child 12 years of age or older is eligible for a booster shot (5 months past their 2nd shot) they must receive the booster in order to be deemed “fully vaccinated.”
Currently, St. Lawrence County Public Health is hosting multiple vaccine clinics, including the following booster clinics:
- Monday, January 17th - Pfizer Booster (Ages 12+)
- Tuesday, January 18th - Moderna Booster (Ages 18+)
- Monday, January 24th - Pfizer Booster (Ages 12+)
- Tuesday, January 25th - Moderna Booster (Ages 18+)
- Monday, January 31st - Pfizer Booster (Ages 12+)
